A wonderful Saturday!!

Today was a great day for me! It was our Ladies Banquet at Church! The speaker was Mrs. Beth Gilliam and she did great! She spoke on the acorn and the process it goes through. She related it back to our everyday life for example, when the squirrel "buries" us, we are not supposed to hate it but, rather thank God for the mountains we go through because it only makes us stronger!! She was wonderful and my heart was fed in her teachings! The fellowship hall was decorated wonderfully in the theme of Handbags! The food was excellent and the men did great serving! I am truly blessed to attend a church such as Calvary. God meets with us in every service and it thrills my heart!

I heard Nikki mention the Blossom Street Series books by Debbie Macomber the other day, so I decided to check one out! Let me tell you, these books are great! I am reading "Twenty Wishes"! I am on chapter 6 and I am addicted to it! You should read it!

Preacher Carr is doing a series in Sunday School on Proverbs! I am excited to learn more about the things that Proverbs has for me! It'll be great! If you dont have a Sunday School class, I invite you to join us! We have a great time in the Lord!

Have a great Sunday in the House of the Lord tomorrow!!

My Favorite Pastime: Jewelry Designing

For those of you who do not know, I make beaded jewelry! It is my absolute favorite thing to do! I am so blessed that the Lord gave me this talent! I am also fortunate that my Mom lets me put it on display at the Grooming Shop for sale! So, at the end of this posting, I have posted some pics of my work.
Today was a great day: not too busy! I love those days! But, I don't like rainy days. Sunshine makes me happy!! I had a great evening also! I got off a little early and Phil fixed us tomato soup and cheese toast! I was good. I was slack in the "cooking supper" department today!

If you would, please pray for my Grandmother. She has a pinched nerve in her back and today she got a shot in the spine to help relieve the pain. If the shots do not work she will need back surgery. Yuck. Just pray that surgery will be ruled out and that the shots will work!

All for now: I am getting tired! ;)

No "Luck" for me; I am Blessed

With today being St. Patricks Day, I was thinking on how everybody goes around saying that they are lucky. Whether they expeirence a close call accident, find something that was lost, or whatever, luck had nothing to do with it. It is the marvelous grace of our Lord that did all those things for them and nothing else. I know that I never expeirence luck and dont want to because the Lord's Blessings are sufficient for me!! So, no St. Patricks Day celebrating for me!

I have been blessed with so many things from the Lord!! I am alot like Phil and relate alot of things to songs. The Lord has been my "Hero" now for almost 4 years and I am so thankful he chose me on August 5, 2005 at Zacks Fork Baptist Church! So, my song that deals with the blessings that I have and the "Hero" that I've found in my Lord is called "My Hero". Here it is: Sometimes I stop to ponder on just how many times I woud just have wondered if he had not been my guide. He's been so merciful, so many times. I wish that I could tell you how thankful I am inside. He's been my hero. My guiding light. He's been the one who helped me through those lonely nights. He's been my refuge in the middle of my storm. Yes He's the one I do adore. This song has become my favorite. I"ll post the rest later.

Right now I am posting on my new laptop that I just got. It is a PINK Dell Inspiron MINI. I was so surprised today when the Fed Ex man dropped off 2 packages at the grooming shop for me. Phil had ordered this computer for me. I love him so much!! Just another one of my Blessings!!

Going to go eat now. Have a great night!!

My First Entry

Today has been a great day a work, so I decided to start a blog and ramble on my day!! It wasn't too busy, so I was able to make some jewelry (my weakness)! I have discovered a new design in jewelry and have been making alot of it. I will post pictures of them later! Even though I had a good day, we still had a bunch of "barkers" at the shop. But that doesn't matter because I am blessed by the Lord to have a good job. Today my Aunt went into work and the "big wills" of her office came by and told her that she was being placed on permanent layoff. She was upset, so please pray for her as she begins a totally different daily routine.

When I got home, Phil had been to the Broyhill outlet and got us a bookcase for our computer room. I was so excited! We have so much junk laying around and the case will help to clean up our room. It'll be great!

Well, I am just beginning, so bear with me as I begin the Blogger life!!
